Chris is a Los Angeles raised, science- minded, earth & heart connected person. Nothing to her is worth doing unless it is done well, with good intention, and serves a greater purpose in the world. She has a bachelor’s in food science and human nutrition and master’s degree in human nutrition. This lends itself to being able to pick up more easily on plant physiology and wine science. Six years of chemistry in all its forms is helpful. After 18 years in the clinical world, everything from addictions to maternal-child to HIV/AIDS nutrition, she had a realization: “I need to take a step back and learn how to grow things” (plants). And so she did, with a large organic garden, fruit trees, and the vines. She added hens to this picture a year ago. The plants, after all, need some nutrition….and we are fed as well by the eggs.
